PHOENIX MARKETING GROUP PUTS ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY "AT THE HEART OF GIVING"

Milwaukee, WI - April 16, 2001 - The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Milwaukee has contracted Phoenix Marketing Group to develop a Marketing Communications program for its "Large-Items Drive" along with a Brand campaign designed to increase awareness for the Society and its programs, along with the need for contributions.  The contract marks the beginning of Phoenix' appointment as agency of record for the Society.

Located in 132 countries worldwide, 900,000 St. Vincent de Paul members work towards global solutions to end hunger and poverty.  In Milwaukee, where more than 15,000 people annually request emergency assistance for such items as food, shelter, clothing and household appliances, local Society members contribute an average of 170,000 volunteer hours as part of their mission to help those in need.

Phoenix has developed a new logo for the Society and a positioning statement, which defines its mission of being "At the Heart of Giving."  A Marketing Communications Plan stressing the Society's need for large household items includes

public relations, direct mail, donor database development, profiles of programs, and advertising, which will include outdoor boards located along major downtown Milwaukee arteries scheduled for Spring 2001.
